South Renovo Man Critically Hurt in Route 144 Crash

NOYES TOWNSHIP — A South Renovo man was badly injured in a Sunday afternoon one-vehicle crash on Route 144 in Noyes Township.

State police identified the driver as Keith K. Dorey, 25, of South Renovo. He was transported to Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, his condition Monday listed as critical.

Investigating officer Andrew Adams said Dorey was driving his 2003 Ford Escape eastbound on Route 144 near 12040 Ridge Road when he failed to maintain control upon entering a left-hand curve. The vehicle went off the south side of the roadway. As Dorey tried to steer back onto the roadway, the police report said, the vehicle began to spin sideways and rotated 180 degrees as it traveled into the westbound lane and then struck a utility pole with the front passenger’s side.
