McGinness Recognized for Arts Council Service

ron-mcginness-140409LOCK HAVEN — Ron McGinness, left, was recognized this week by a surprise tribute staged by fellow members of the Clinton County Arts Council. McGinness, council president for 30 years, stepped down recently and was replaced as president by board member Steve Getz, right. Getz presented McGinness with a plaque naming the gallery room at the Train Station Art Gallery the “Ron McGinness Room.” McGinness had been a key player in relocating the arts council facilities from Main Street to its new location on Bald Eagle Street. He thanked the board for its collective role in relocating and renovating the old Mill Hall train station into the restored gallery. McGinness termed the successful move a team effort. He will remain as an arts council board member. Record photo – John Lipez
