The Health Department on Friday announced the names of the applicants from across the state. The state listed only the names of the organizations filing across the state, but the two Clinton County applicants had shared their plans with local officials. The Health Department said it would release more details on the successful applicants when the license awards are announced.

Gov. Tom Wolf had signed the legislation last year to make the medical marijuana available in 2018. Doctors will be allowed to prescribe the processed marijuana oil for a variety of ailments, from cancer to intractable pain.
