Water/Jay Streets Intersection Rebuild Next Week

LOCK HAVEN — The next leg of Lock Haven’s Jay Street improvement project will be carried out starting next Monday, June 5.

City police have provided a PennDOT update for the work:
* Water & Jay Street intersection will be closed Monday morning through Thursday.
* The Veterans (Jay Street) Bridge will be closed Monday morning through Thursday.
* Jay Street from Main to Water along with Jordan Alley will be closed Monday through Thursday.
* Jay Street from Church to Main along with Willards Alley will be closed Wednesday and Thursday.

The police notice said if you travel in these areas, be sure to give yourself extra travel time, as well as moving slowly through construction areas for the safety of yourself, other drivers and construction workers.

Glenn O. Hawbaker Inc of State College is the contractor for the overall $5.4 million project.
