members in the Eastern and Western parts of Pennsylvania.

Charles Schmidt was elected Commander of the 2.2 million member American

Legion on September 1, 2016 in Cincinnati, Ohio, during the 98th National

Convention of America’s largest Veterans’ organization.

organization and how it has helped thousands of Veterans, troops and their

families throughout it’s 98 years. The mission of the American Legion is

being there for our Veterans, our Troops, their families, our children and

youth and our communities.
