Wildcats Open with 5-4 Loss to DuBois
DU BOIS – Central Mountain opened their 2017 baseball season with a road trip, falling 5-4 to DuBois.
Ethan Watkins went 5 innings on the mound for the Wildcats giving up 4 runs on 4 hits, 3 strikeouts and 3 walks.
A.J. Smith closed out the game for Central Mountain and was credited with the loss allowing 1 run on 4 hits.
DuBois winning pitcher was Ethan Long, who went the last 3 1/3 innings. allowing no runs on 1 hit, 2 strikeouts and 3 walks.
Dubois starting pitcher was Noah Schneider, throwing the first 3 2/3 innings giving up 4 runs on 4 hits 3 strikeouts, 6 walks.
Brandon Miller led the Wildcats in the batter’s box with a double and 2 singles while Austyn Carson, and Asher Corl each contributed a single for CM.
Next up is a two game home stand as they host Hollidaysburg on Wednesday, March 29 and Shikellamy on Friday, March 31.
