Lois E. Romanak – Obituary

ObitArtRENOVO – Lois E. Romanak, 96, 14982 Renovo Rd., Renovo, PA died Feb. 18, 2017 in the Bucktail Medical Center, S. Renovo, PA. Born June 18, 1921 in Sterling Run, Lumber Twp., Cameron Co. PA she was the daughter of the late Stanley and Gertrude Corbet Jordan. On Feb. 22, 1947 she married Joseph Romanak who died June 28, 1996.

A 1939 graduate of the Renovo High School, Lois had worked in the railroad shops from 1943-1946. She was a very active member of the Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, Renovo where she had was a member of and long-time secretary of the church council, a member of the WELCA and a long time Sunday School teacher. Lois was a member of the Heritage Park Assoc., a former Girl Scout Leader, a member of the former Westport Hospital Aid Society and the Bucktail Medical Center Auxiliary.

Survivors include one daughter, Nora (Tom) Jesberger, Renovo, PA,  two sons, David Romanak, DuBois, PA and Joseph (Linda) Romanak, Harrisburg, PA, five grandchildren, Lana, Luke, Brian, Megan and Mark,     three  great-grandchildren, Gavin, Audrianna and Benjamin and one step-great-grandson, Nile.

Lois was preceded in death by, one son, Stanley Romanak, two brothers, Reid and Robert Jordan and               one sister,  Helen Kerstetter.

A Memorial service to honor the life of Lois E. Romanak will be held Sat., Mar. 18, 2017 at 11 A.M. in the Zion Lutheran Church, Renovo, PA with Rev. John Harwood officiating. Friends will be received in the church 1 hr. prior to the services. Interment, North Bend Cemetery, North Bend, PA.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Zion Lutheran Church.
