When Will It Ever End?

LOCK HAVEN — Actually the Great Stella Storm of 2017 should be all but out of Clinton County by this evening. Snow that began in the early overnight is to continue heavy at times through noon, but taper off fairly quickly this afternoon, the snow to be light by 6 p.m. and reduced to snow showers by 8 p.m., cloudy by 11 p.m.

The latest National Weather Service Office warning out of State College calls for total snow accumulation of 8 to 15 inches although the depth was around 12 inches in parts of the Lock Haven area by late morning. The NWS warns that winds will be gusting up to 25 miles per hour, resulting in blowing and drifting snow. Road closures and isolated power outages are possible.

Virtually all services across the mid-state area have been shut down by the storm.

All area schools are closed and Central Mountain High School, in a stunner, has announced the baseball scrimmage between the Wildcats and Loyalsock scheduled for tomorrow has been called off.
