Wildcats Top PHAC Honors with 8 All-Stars

cm-wrestlingBALD EAGLE TOWNSHIP – The Pennsylvania Heartland Conference has released their selection for wrestling all-stars with eight Wildcats making the cut for league recognition.

Five Central Mountain grapplers were named to the PHAC Div. 1 First Team All-Stars.

106 – Johnny Shreffler (25-16)
120 – Geo Barzona (34-2)
138 – Logan Long (22-13)
152 – Asher Corl (24-12)
285 – Richie Thompson (29-10)

Three Wildcats made the cut to be selected to the PHAC Div. 1 Second Team All-Stars.

126 – Seth Andrus (29-9)
170 – Tanner Weaver (32-8)
182 – Caleb Turner (29-8)

Central Mountain also won the PHAC team tile for the 2016-17 season with a perfect 6-0 conference record, 18-2 overall. The Wildcats dominated the Heartland field outscoring their opponents by a combined 337-77 advantage.

CM head coach, Biff Walizer was also honored as the PHAC Div. 1 Coach of the year.
