Vera J. Haines – Obituary
She was born on June 19, 1927 in Kane, one of eight children, a daughter of Wayne and Ethyl (Christie) Eshelman.
Vera graduated from Kane High School in 1945. She worked for Bell of Pennsylvania, leaving there as a supervisor to marry Donald Haines in 1948. They moved in 1959 to Renovo where they built their home in Farwell. Vera was later employed by Keystone Central School District.
Vera was an avid bowler in her younger days. She also enjoyed sewing, crocheting, reading and working on crossword and jigsaw puzzles.
Vera is survived by a sister, Shirley Lorenzo, and three children: James, Edward (Cindy), and Christy Wettlauter. She had eight grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband Donald, brothers Charles, Kenneth, Walter
and Raymond, and sisters Arley and Wilma.
Interment will be in the St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery at the convenience of
the family. Arrangements are under the direction of the Yost-Gedon Funeral
Home and Cremation Services, LLC, 121 W. Main St., Lock Haven.
