William Glenn Borden, 76, left this world to be with his Heavenly Father on Thursday, November 24, 2016 from the home he called his own, the home of Randy and Rachael Spotts, following a brief illness.

Born in Ansonia on January 20, 1940, he was the son of the late Ralph and Betty Campbell Borden.

Bill was a long-time resident of Renovo.

He was employed by the Pennsylvania Bureau of Forestry, retiring after 25 years of service.

Bill enjoyed riding tractors, hunting, fishing, playing pool, and entertaining others with his passion of playing the spoons.

He was a member of the American Legion, Post 442.

Bill was the sweetest soul anyone could ever have known, and he held a very special place in the hearts of those who met him, including that of Randy and Rachel Spotts who cared for him for the last eight years of his life.

Bill truly was a legend in his hometown of Renovo and will be greatly missed.

Surviving is a brother and sister-in-law, Jack and Beverly Borden; a sister, Sandra Borden; and his adopted family, Randy and Rachael Spotts.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, December 3, 2016 at 1 P.M. at Christian Community Church, 364 Susquehanna Ave., Renovo with Pastor Rich Colvin officiating.  A small celebration will follow at the Emeralds Fire Hall.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Donald G. Walker Funeral Home, Inc., 231 High St., Flemington to assist with funeral expenses.
