GOP Hikes Local Registration Lead
LOCK HAVEN — For the first time in two election cycles Republicans will outnumber Democrats in Clinton County come the Nov. 8 election.
Tuesday was the registration deadline in Pennsylvania and Clinton County voter registration director Maria Boileau today announced the last set of numbers to be issued until just before the November election:
Total Registrations – 21,992
Democratic – 9,062
Republican 10,057
Other 2,752
Libertarian 121
New – 126 applications; 20 Democratic; 77 Republican; 22 No Affiliation; 6 Independent; 1 libertarian

43 party changes
The new figures show significant growth among county Republican registrants. Prior to the May primary the county numbers showed 9,353 Republicans and 8,980 Democrats.
