DEP Hosting Public Information Meeting Oct. 5 on Renovo Power Plant in Clinton County

WILLIAMSPORT – The Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) will hold a public information meeting on Wednesday, October 5, 2016, from 6:30 to 8 PM to discuss all environmental approvals required for a natural gas power plant proposed by Renovo Energy Center LLC in Renovo Borough.

The meeting will be held at the Western Clinton County Recreation Authority building, 222 St. Clair Avenue, Renovo.

“The department will explain our review process for all the permits required for this project, as well as the status of the ongoing remediation at the property,” DEP North-central Regional Director Marcus Kohl said.

Representatives of Renovo Energy and its engineering firm also will make a presentation regarding the 950-megawatt plant that would produce electricity for customers in Pennsylvania and New York.
