Lady Wildcats Improve to 9-0 with Shutout over Danville

cm-tennisBALD EAGLE TOWNSHIP – It was business as usual for the Lady Wildcat’s girls’ tennis team as they dominated Danville 5-0 in Heartland Conference action.

Central Mountain (9-0) in a lineup change to allow some younger platers a chance at upper level varsity action, breezed through the singles portion of the contest with Quinn McCluskey defeating Danville’s Emma Lehr 6-0, 6-0 and Katherine Strouse took out Lady Ironman, Casey Donahoe 6-0 6-0 with CM’s Kendall McCluskey, besting Danville’s Peri Hassanzadeh 6-0, 6-1.

In doubles action, Lady ‘Cats Becky Piergallini and Cierra Merrill defeated Nina Shoemaker and Heather Walter of Danville 6-2, 6-3. CM’s Natalie Brown and McCartney Register beat Danville’s Meg Lynn and Gracie Crone 6-1, 6-0 to round out the action.

Next, Central Mountain will put their undefeated record on the line as they travel to Mifflinburg Wednesday, Sept. 21, 2016.
