Lady Wildcats Edged by DuBois 1-0

cm-soccerBALD EAGLE TOWNSHIP – In a defensive struggle, Central Mountain came up on the short end losing a 1-0 contest to District 9 foe, DuBois.

With play focusing on the middle of the pitch for most of the game, the visiting Lady Beavers did have the advantage in offensive threats leading the host Lady Wildcats in shots on goal, 11-4 and a 7-1 advantage in corner kicks.

The scoreboard was untouched until the 69:20 mark of the game when DuBois’ Reese Sayers managed to bound a chip shot over over CM keeper, Alyssa Dickey for the only score of the contest. Dickey had 5 saves on the day.

For the Lady Wildcats. Tara Reese had 4 shots on goal with Madison Courter adding one of her own.

Next up for Central Mountain will be a trip to Modd-West for a Heartland Conference game on Wednesday, Sept. 21.
