Wildcats Shutout Shamokin 4-0

cm-soccerBALD EAGLE TOWNSHIP – Central Mountain couldn’t find their offense until the 31:24 mark of the game, but once they did, they rolled over visiting Shamokin 4-0.

Robert Shaffer and Matt Storeman split the scoring duties evenly with Shaffer hitting first at 31:24 with an assist from Isaac Reibsome in the first period then again with the aid of Jeremiah Thomas at 42:18 early in the second period.

Storeman found the back of the net on a penalty kick less than two minutes later (44:14) than once more unassisted tow minutes after his first score (46:14 to round out the scoring for the Wildcat.

With a comfortable lead and plenty of fresh legs on the bench, head coach Jeff Brinker went deep into the roster for some valuable varsity playing time for the younger members of his squad.

Next up for CM is a road trip to Selinsgrove on Thursday, Sept. 15, 2016.
