Lady Wildcats Sweep Shik 5-0

cm-tennisBALD EAGLE TOWNSHIP – Central Mountain (5-0) put in another solid outing, this time sweeping Shikellamy 5-0 in Heartland Conference girls’ tennis action.

In another fine example of team solidarity, the Lady Wildcats all won in straight sets.

CM’s Jolee McCluskey CM defeated Shik’s Tori Brusker 6-2, 6-3 while big sister, Quinn McCluskey shutout the Lady Brave’s, Sierra Gulden 6-0, 6-0. Then Katherine Strouse rounded out the Lady ‘Cats singles effort with a 6-1, 6-2 run on Shikellamy’s Lilly Brouse.

In doubles action Central Mountain’s Keli Kwiatek and Kendall McCluskey topped Jaden Carper and Autumn Gessner defeating the Shik duo 6-2, 6-1. In the remaining doubles match, CM’s Cierra Merrill andNatalie Brown bested Gabby Schull and Heather Beveridge 6-2, 6-2.
