Let the School Year Begin…

SANYO DIGITAL CAMERAMILL HALL — It was a scene repeated all over Clinton County Wednesday morning, the first day of school for better than 4,000 students in the Keystone Central School District, including these first arrivals at Central Mountain Middle School, joining their friends in the auditorium until the homeroom bell rang at 7:50 a.m.

District superintendent Kelly Hastings told therecord-online there is much excitement for the new school year: “We are thrilled to be able to offer our Pre-K program and have been very pleased with our enrollment…we have filled most of the seats in the elementary buildings that feed Central Mountain High School and have available seats at Renovo Elementary.  We believe our elementary on-line learning option will be great for parents who want to work with their elementary children at home, while also having the ability to get support from our teachers. We have hired over 50 new teachers in the district, and we are delighted to have them join our excellent team.  We are looking forward to a great year, and appreciate the support of the community as we work together to make Clinton County a great place for children to grow and learn.”
