Keystone Retires from State Tourney with 4-1 Loss to Bellefonte

key-base-logoBRADFORD – The Keystone 8-10 All-Stars fell 4-1 to Bellefonte and were eliminated from play in the PA Little League State championship tournament.

Keystone jumped out to a 1-0 lead which they held for two innings until Bellefonte scored 2 runs in the bottom of the third inning to take the lead over.

Bellefonte held keystone scoreless the rest of the way and added 2 more insurance runs in the bottom of the fifth inning.

Keystone did manage four hits on the day led by Braylen Corter with a single and a double while Levi Schlesinger and Conor Foltz both had base hits to their credit.

ON the mount, Corter pitched 4 2/3 innings with 3 strikeouts and Gabe Johnson closed out the last two outs and recorded 1 strikeout.

The loss brings to an end the Little League season for the 8-10 group who played some great baseball along the way. Many of these players will be back in 2017, though at different age groups to wear the Keystone Blue once more.
