Keystone 9-11s Make it a Clean Sweep for Section 3

key-base-logoCRESSONA – The Keystone 9-11 All-Stars made it a clean sweep for their league in Section 3 play by defeating Tri-Valley 9-1.

Cru Stover took command of the mound for for the entire game recording 11 strikeouts and giving up only three hits and one walk in the effort.

Offensively, Stover helped his own cause by bookending a pair of base hits around a double. Ashton Probst also put up a pair of base hits with Chase Brush and Matt Conklin each adding a single to the effort.

All nine runs scored by Keystone came in the fourth inning when Keystone sent 13 batters to the plate before Tri-Valley could retire the side.

Keystone now advances to their state tournament in Mount Union later this week making then the fourth team from Clinton county to represent Keystone at the state level.
