MILL HALL — Three outdoor-oriented Mill Hall area businesses have announced plans for the first Central Pennsylvania Spring Outdoor Show and Expo Friday, Saturday and Sunday, May 13-15.

Event sponsors are Bill’s Happy Camper RV Sales & Service, Water St., Mill Hall, Dotterer Equipment and Millers Gun Shop, both located along Route 64 between Mill Hall and Lamar.  The event will include 20 vendors featuring hunting, fishing and camping related businesses and activities.

Bill Miller of Bill’s Happy Campers said he had been mulling the idea of an outdoor show and expo for several years and with the help of Beth Miller Bason from Millers Gun Shop and Mike Frank from Dotterer Equipment, they have assembled what they hope will be the first of a continuing annual series of this community outdoor event.

Miller said the three sponsoring businesses have been family-owned for decades and decided to put together an event to show what Clinton County has to offer for those with an interest in the outdoors.

Show/expo sponsors will all be offering special pricing and there will be more than $1,500 in prizes. There also will be an opportunity from 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday, May 14, to sign up and win a Honda Rancher 4-Wheeler.

There also will be children’s activities and live music. Displays will include an on-site fish hatchery, woodcarving, taxidermy and turkey calling, plus Smokey Bear will be in attendance
