Virginia M. Baer, known to many as Marie or Ginny, 66, of Mill Hall passed away Tuesday, April 26, 2016 at Haven Skilled Rehabilitation and Nursing, Lock Haven.

Born on July 3, 1949 in Lock Haven, she was the daughter of the late Chester and Juanita Confer Baer, Sr.

Marie graduated from Lock Haven High School.

She was employed at Craft, Inc. in Lock Haven before working for Hope Enterprise in Williamsport.

Marie attended Liberty United Methodist Church.

She participated in the Special Olympics.

Marie was creative, enjoying crocheting, coloring, and making beaded jewelry.  She also loved organizing and music.

She was well liked and had a “happy-go-lucky” personality.

Surviving are two sisters, Glenda (David) Heaton of Mill Hall and Sally (Larry “Bud”) Eyer of Linden; a brother, Harry Baer of Linden; and numerous nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great, great nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, John Alan “Huggy” Baer and Chester “Butch” Baer, Jr.

Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, April 28, 2016.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, April 29, 2016 at 11 a.m. at the Donald G. Walker Funeral Home, Inc., 231 High St., Flemington with Pastor Wally Kocher officiating.  Interment will follow at Rest Haven Memorial Park, Lock Haven.

Friends and family will be received at the funeral home from 11 a.m. until the time of the service.

Memorial contributions in Marie’s name may be made to Hope Enterprise through the funeral home.
