Ceremony Dedicates Life-Long Community Service

ccc-logoFLEMINGTON – A few years ago Clinton County took possession of the former Flemington School, and renovated building located at 301 – 311 Frederick Street in Flemington, from Keystone Central School District. The complex now houses offices for Emergency Management and Veterans Affairs as well as the new home for the District Magistrate. Today, County officials unveiled the new name for the building, honoring a community member well-known for his service and dedication to the community. Donald G. Mellott.

The site will now be formally known as the Donald G. Mellott Memorial Building in honor of Mellett’s life-long service to the community.

County officials spoke in high regard to Mellott’s contributions including County Commissioners, Jeff Snyder and Pete Smeltz along with Senior Judge, Craig Miller and Director of Emergency Services, Kevin Fanning.

Judy Mellott, wife of Donald G. Mellott was overwhelmed by the honor to her late husband along with her son Gary Mellott unveiled the sign.
