Senior Projects Aid Heritage Park

Bucktail Area High School seniors Callie Button and Brianne “Bree” Layton  have been helping out at the Heritage Park Headquarters as their senior projects. Bree has been working on a mural for the headquarters and Callie is archiving, sorting and filing paper work.

The sign Brianne is working on used to be the sign for Bruno Shoe Store years ago. The Heritage headquarters is in the former Bruno Shoe Store at 530 Erie Avenue.  The three foot by 15 foot sign will be an outside mural featuring a steam engine when she is finished. The mural project will involve more than the 20 hours required for student senior projects.

Callie is compiling a data base of the Renovo area historical items and information that will eventually be available for researchers and historians use.

The girls meet with Alica Tarr weekly at the Heritage Headquarters.
