Jersey Shore and Mifflin County Bow Out PIAA Duals
HERSHEY – When the top teams in the state meet at the Giant Center for the annual PIAA Team Championships, you can expect some stiff competition. Such was the case for 2016.
The District 4 champion Jersey Shore Bulldogs fell to Clearfield 39-28 while the District 6 champion Huskies came up a few bonus points short against Cumberland Valley losing 30-24.
For Jersey Shore, Jeremy Zidallas (106), Hunter Zondory (120) and Hunter O’Connor (160) all recorded falls while Seth Young (152) had a major dec. and Hayden Swartwood received a forfeit. Shore lost four weight classes by only one point and another by 2 in overtime. It was that close.
For the Huskies, Brandon Wilson (182) and Trey Hartsock (195) earned pins while Hayden Hidlay (152), Trent Hidlay (160), Brandon Wilson (182) and Noah Myers (120) recorded decisions.
