PIAA Team Dual Pairings Set

Jersey Shore Draws Canon-McMillan

HERSHEY — The Jersey Shore Bulldogs will meet the Big Macs of Canon-McMillan (12-3) in the first round of the PIAA State Team Duals at the Giant Center Thursday at 6 p.m.

Jersey Shore (13-1) qualified for the state team tourney with its 42-20 win over Shikellamy last Saturday earning a third straight District 4 crown; Canon-McMillan finished as the District 7 (WPIAL) runner-up, falling in the title match by a 42-18 margin to Belle Vernon.

Other mid-state teams in the competition on Thursday include District 6 champion Mifflin County which will wrestle District 11 second-place finisher Nazareth; the Eagles won a Monday wrestle-in match over District 3 third-place finisher Cedar Cliff by a 42-27 score. District 9 champion Clearfield drew District 1 champ Boyertown (19-0) in its Thursday evening opener.
