Hunt scores 20, Bald Eagles drop Millersville

lhu-hoopsMILLERSVILLE  – Ra’eese Hunt (Upper Marlboro, Md./Riverdale Baptist) dropped a game-high 20 points, which powered the Lock Haven University men’s team (11-11, 7-11 PSAC) to a 78-65 Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) East win at Millersville University (3-18, 3-14 PSAC) on Saturday. The road victory ended a six game losing streak for LHU.

Hunt hit 8 of 10 shots from the field and was a perfect 4 for 4 at the free-throw line. He was one of three Bald Eagles, who finished in double-figures scoring and LHU also benefitted from 31 points off the bench.

Dave Garcia (Scotrun, Pa./Pocono Mt. East) knocked down three 3-pointers and finished with 13 points, while Shawn Church (Ridley, Pa./Ridley) added 10 points.

Brahieme Jackson (Philadelphia/Bishop McDevitt) finished with eight points and nine rebounds.

Cole Renninger (Lock Haven, Pa./Central Mountain) netted six points, pulled down six rebounds, recorded three steals and dished out two assists.

Lock Haven returns to action on Wednesday, February 10 at 7:30 p.m. when the Bald Eagles host Cheyney University.
