LOCK HAVEN – Saying she wants to take a stand for her community and to make state government more accountable to the people of the 76th Legislative District, Republican Stephanie Borowicz today announced her campaign to challenge State Representative Mike Hanna.

“Unlike our current State Representative, I am not a career politician,” said Borowicz. “Instead I am a concerned citizen who is tired of the heavy hand of state government. Like you, I am sick of the political nonsense pouring out of Harrisburg and Washington, burdening our citizens and restricting our religious and economic freedoms.”

State Representative Mike Hanna has been in office for 25 years and has continuously supported increasing taxes and spending. Last October, he voted to increase the personal income tax by 16%. The residents of Clinton and Centre counties simply can no longer afford Mike Hanna’s tax and spend agenda.

“Our state and community are at a crucial juncture,” said Borowicz. “It is time that the people of the 76th district – the farmers, businessmen and women, doctors and nurses, lawyers, pastors, teachers, and stay-at-home moms link arms and send a clear message to Mike Hanna and the state of Pennsylvania. We understand that freedom belongs to us and that the money is better off in the hands of the people.”

“We live in a wonderful community with strong conservative values and hard-working Americans. With your support, I will take your ideas, values, and solutions to Harrisburg and fight for you,” said Borowicz.

Stephanie Borowicz received her Bachelor’s Degree from Vanguard University in Liberal Studies with a minor in Bible. She is a former 4th grade teacher and president of a non- profit organization. She lives in McElhattan, Pennsylvania with her husband and their three children. Stephanie and her husband serve as associate pastors in Jersey Shore, Pennsylvania.
