LOCK HAVEN — The Norfolk-Southern railroad crossing warning signal at Liberty St. got knocked over by a truck at mid-afternoon today.

The out-of-the-area truck driver told therecord-online he was backing up the double-load car carrier and did not see the crossing light to his rear. He said he was in the process of parking his rig adjacent to the Train Station Gallery to visit his mother who lives nearby.

There was minor damage to the last two new cars in the rear car-carrier. The cars had been en route from Baltimore to upstate New York, according to the driver. City police investigated and Norfolk-Southern was notified.
