LHU’s Neff Nationally Ranked

lhu-matsLOCK HAVEN – Dan Neff (Quarryville, Pa./Solanco) of the Lock Haven University wrestling team is ranked in the top-10 of several preseason national ranking lists.

Neff is ranked No. 9 by WrestlingReport.com and ranked 10th by Amateur Wrestling News at 141 pounds.

Neff earned All-American status last season at 149, but moves back to the 141-pound weight class where he competed during the 2013-14 and 2011-12 seasons.

Last season, Neff was 25-15 at 149 and finished eighth at the NCAA Division I Championships, becoming LHU’s first All-American since 2007. Last year’s NCAA Tournament marked Neff’s third straight appearance at the championships.

Competing at 141 pounds, Neff qualified for the NCAA Championships in 2014 (R-So. Season) and 2013 (R-Fr. season), winning 32 and 26 matches, respectively in each of those seasons.

Neff was named the 2012-13 Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Freshman of the Year and earned a spot on the Amateur Wrestling News All-Rookie Team in 2013.
