Lady ‘Cats Fall to BEA 3-2

cm-volleyballBALD EAGLE TOWNSHIP – Central Mounatin hosted Bald Eagle Area, the defending AA D6 Champions, Monday evening, though the evening began well for the Lady ‘Cats, it ended with the hosts rallying for a 3-2 best-of-five win.

The Lady Wildcats jumped out to a commanding 25-16 in Game 1. Then BEA regrouped and proceed to return the favor by downing the hosts 25-20 in the second game.

Game 3 turned out to be more of the same as the Lady Bald Eagles handed out a 25-15 defeat to Central Mountain.

Then in Game 4, when it appeared the guests would end their effort with three straight wins, the Lady Wildcats reached deep and matched BEA’s effort point-for-ponint. The scoreboard behave like a well balanced see-saw with neither team able to stretch out more than a two-point lead.

Then the ball began to bound Central Mountain’s way. Tied at 24-all, the Lady ‘Cats put up two uninsured points to force the fifth and final tie-breaker match.

BEA jumped out to a 5-0 lead then CM responded with 3 points of their, then the guests put together a string of offense that put them up 14-6. Central Mountain with their never quit attitude once again attempted to rally by scoring one more points before finally falling to the Lady Eagles 15-7.

On the night Karli Coleman anchored the Lady Wildcat with 26 digs followed by Elaina Eckley, 9; Maegan Miller, 6; Dayna Fourney, 6; Emily Caprio, 5. Vanessa Soo, Loren Morasco, and Madison Brown with 2 digs. Kelsey Buckwalter had 1 dig. Emily Caprio recored 3 blocks while Loren Morasco had 1.

Offensively, Maddison Brown pounded out 12 kills followed by Elaina Eckly, 10; Loren Morasco, 8; Vanessa Soo, 3 and Emily Caprio, 1. Caprio and Cole each contributed 3 aces while Eckley, Brown and Miller each had 2.
