New Jersey Man Arrested in Connection with the Shooting

BEECH CREEK — A New Jersey man has been charged with attempted murder in an overnight shooting in Beech Creek.

State police identified the victim as Ty Rebuck, 43, of Loganton. He is listed in fair condition at the Geisinger Medical Center in Danville where he was Life-flighted after the 1:15 a.m. shooting on Locust Street near the Linger Inn in Beech Creek.

State police later arrested Harry Hernandez, 26, who address was listed as “New Jersey.” He was arraigned and remains in custody, police said.

The report from investigating officer Kimberly Patterson said, “The accused shot the victim three times before fleeing the crime scene. The accused was later placed into custody.”

Additional information was not provided, other than Hernandez faces a charge of criminal attempt criminal homicide.
