William T. Beam, Sr. – Obituary

William T. Beam, Sr., 85, of 105 Beech Creek Ave., Mill Hall, passed away Wednesday, July 29, 2015 at his home.

William was born in Renovo on September 26, 1929, the son of the late Aaron F. and Mary Hockenberry Beam.

On June 29, 1952 at the Lock Haven First Church of Christ, he married the former Lavina R. Patterson, whom preceded him in death on July 28, 2011.

William was employed at the Lock Haven Silk Mill before working as a painter for Piper Aircraft. After Piper closed, he worked at Brodart until his retirement.

He was a member of the Lock Haven First Church of Christ.

William was an avid sports fan and enjoyed watching baseball. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

He is survived by five sons, William T., Jr. and Earl G. (Sue Wise) Beam, both of Mill Hall, Raymond C. (Robin Parko) Beam of Pleasant Gap, Steven A. (Marcy) Beam of Runville and Douglas A. (Susan) Beam of Salona; two sisters, Carrie Haugh of Lock Haven and Charlotte “Peach” Ginoni of Ohio; six grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held on Sunday, August 2, 2015 at 2 p.m. at the Donald G. Walker Funeral Home, Inc., 231 High St., Flemington, Pa 17745 with Rev. Steve Salmon officiating.

Private burial will take place at Rest Haven Memorial Park.

Friends and family will be received at the funeral home on Sunday from 1 p.m. until the time of the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made through the funeral home to the American Diabetes Association.
