Lock Haven University Announces 2015 Academic Promotions

lhu-logoLOCK HAVEN–Ten members of the Lock Haven University faculty have been promoted for the 2015-2016 academic year. The promotions were made after a lengthy evaluation process and were conducted in compliance with the faculty collective bargaining agreement and the LHU promotion policy.

There are four faculty academic ranks at LHU: instructor, assistant professor, associate professor and full professor. Each rank is carefully defined and appointment or promotion is based on the faculty member’s credentials, professional expertise, and contribution to the University’s mission. Criteria for promotion are increasingly rigorous.

Lock Haven University President Michael Fiorentino, Jr. said, “On behalf of the entire Lock Haven University community, I want to congratulate all those who were recently promoted and extend best wishes for continued success. We have high quality faculty who prepare our students to unlock their professional passions upon graduation from Lock Haven University and prepare them for their career endeavors.”

The following faculty members promoted to full professor are Dr. Muhammad Aslam, Dr. Laurie Cannady, Dr. Daniel Gales, Dr. Carina Howell, Dr. Jonathan Lindzey, Dr. Tara Mitchell, Dr. Cori Myers, Dr. Kevin Range, Dr. Constance Reece, and Dr. Marian Tzolov.
The faculty members promoted to associate professor status are Dr. Ruben Berrios, Dr. Holle Canatella, Dr. Gayatri Devi, Dr. Luke Haile, Dr. Mark Jones, and Dr. Jennifer Taylor.
