Informational Kiosk, Live Webcam and Opening Sunday Concert Greet the First Day of Summer

LOCK HAVEN – Brief ceremonies were held Sunday to thank sponsors and supporters for new items installed at the J. Doyle Corman Amphitheatre to promote our area.

A three-panel kiosk, installed at the entrance to the amphitheater on East Water Street, to showcase a River Town Orientation panel, Greenway Orientation panel, and a community bulletin board. The kiosk is made possible through funding provided by the Susquehanna Greenway Partnership, PPL Corp., and Downtown Lock Haven, Inc. the kiosk was Designed by Steven Getz of The Idea Factory, and installed by M&R Contracting. The kiosk includes various public landmarks and attractions.

A webcam located at the top of the amphitheater and along the riverwalk will display a panoramic view of the West Branch of the Susquehanna River, including the Riverwalk, the floating stage and Veterans Memorial Bridge. The webcam is made possible through funding from the Lock Haven Loyal Order of Moose Lodge 100, and Lodge Giosue Carducci #146, plus in-kind services from Keystone Community Network (KCnet), and Tri-M Group for installation.

Then it was time for music as local favorite, Snug took to the floating stage to open the summer concert season and usher in the first day of summer.
