LHU Wrestling Recruiting Class Includes Three Wildcats

Bottorf, Probst and Caprio to Join the Bald Eagles

lhu-matsLOCK HAVEN – Three Wildcat wrestlers will continue their education and athletic endeavors at Lock Haven University.

Keanan Bottorf, Demetri Probst and Gavin Caprio will become LHU Bald Eagles after their high school graduation. In all, LHU is welcoming 16 new freshmen to the roster with a combined total of 1,939 wins, 20 state medals and 11 100 match winners.

Bottorf 99-50 for Central Mountain, four-time District 6 AAA finalist with one championship and one PIAA NW Regional AAA Championship to his credit.

Demetri Probst who attends Bucktail High School and participated with the Wildcats in a co-op program amassed 110-31 record in high school that included one PIAA NW Regional AAA Championship.

Caprio earned a 112-37 record as a “Cat including District 6 AAA Championship and a PIAA NW Regional AAA runner-up finish.

The trio from Central Mountain will join schoolmates Dillon Gavlock, Blaze Buckwalter at Lock Haven University.

“We are excited about the overall talent and depth of this year’s class.” says LHU head coach, Scott Moore, “It is comprised of hard working, motivated wrestlers who are looking to solidify the future of Bald Eagle Wrestling. Recruiting wrestlers whose goals align with those of the University, the program and the coaching staff is crucial during this stage of the game. It is our ultimate goal to recruit the state’s top talent, retain them through graduation and develop them into Academic and Athletic All-Americans. This class will make for a very competitive room next season and prove to be a solid foundation for years to come.”
