Daniel B. Kerstetter, Sr.
Daniel B. Kerstetter, Sr., 86, of Loganton was reunited with his fishing buddies on Wednesday, April 15, 2015.

Born on October 11, 1928 in Tylersville, he was the son of the late George W. and Adelia Grace Heckman Kerstetter.

On March 11, 1947 Dan married the former Bernice Eileen Slegle who survives.

He was employed as a lather by Lathers Union Local 1333. Dan was then employed as a carpenter for Carpenters Union Local 950 with a total of 42 years before retiring in 1990.

Dan was a member of the St. John’s United Church of Christ, Tylersville.

He enjoyed hunting and fishing, and especially taking fishing trips to Canada.

In addition to his wife, Dan is survived by three sons: Daniel B., Dennis W. (Arlene), and Larry S. (Belva) Kerstetter, all of Loganton; two daughters, Jean (Dan) Courter of Clintondale and Diane (Ron) Karstetter of Loganton; a sister, Bettie Barner of Lamar; 8 grandchildren; and 15 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a brother, George J. Kerstetter, and three sisters: Geraldine Mingle, Kay Douty, and Emma Henderson.

Services will be held at the convenience of the family. Burial will take place at Tylersville Cemetery.
