Francis J. Hagen – Obituary

Francis J. Hagen, 79, of Lock Haven, died on Saturday, |February 21, 2015 at the Gate House Hospice Center.

Francis was married on September 27, 1958 to the former Patsy R. (Heck), who survives, and they have celebrated 56 years as husband and wife.

Francis was born on November 24, 1935 in Renovo and was the son of the late Francis N. and Margaret (Casey) Hagen. He was a 1954 graduate of St. Joseph High School in Renovo and then entered the U. S. Coast Guard. He was a veteran from July 1954 thru July 1959. He was a former employee of Piper Aircraft from 1959 – 1984 and then worked at Newberry Estates as Superintendent from 1987 – 2011 when he retired. He was a member of St. Joseph Church, Renovo and attended Immaculate Conception Church, Lock Haven.

In addition to his wife Patsy, he is survived by one son; Tyson J. Hagen of Lock Haven, two grandchildren; McKenzie L. and Kasey A. Hagen and one brother and sister-in-law; Joseph C. and Betty Hagen of Emporium.

There will be a graveside service 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 28, 2015 at the St. Joseph Cemetery, Hyner with the Reverend Charles Ugo officiating. Military honors will follow.

Arrangements are being handled by the Maxwell Funeral Home, 205 Fifth St., Renovo.
