cm-basketballBALD EAGLE TOWNSHIP – It was a bitter sweet night for the Lady Wildcats. Bitter to bid farewell to two senior members of the squad. Sweet, because the future looks bright with a roster deep in underclassmen returning for next season.

Katie Parks and Mayela Rios were honored for their contributions to the program.

The Lady Mountain Lions brought nearly as many seniors as CM had members on the squad. Altoona used that experience to cruise to the win.

Even though the Lady ‘Cats had a tough season, garnering only a single victory on the road at Jersey Shore, there is great hope for the future. Many great sports programs came from humble beginnings. Considering the tough experience, Central Mountain never wavered during the season. There is no quit in this team.

Trailing by more than 30 points, in the final minute, the Lady Wildcats were still battling for turnovers, working the fast break and focusing on dropping free throws when fouled. Central Mountain even managed to outscore Altoona 13-10 in the fourth quarter. These are the building blocks that can lay a solid foundation for the future.

Mary Monoski led CM with 18 points, followed by Parks with 12. Grayson McCloy added 7 while Rios contributed 2 points on the night.
